Being confident and having self esteem! ♡

Hello everyone, ♡

Welcome back or to my blog! If your new, Hi my name’s Eden thanks for stopping by! Today’s blog post is going to be slightly different as for this month I thought I would do deep and chatty posts on my blog which is very different to what I normally do. I am also starting a mini series called positive chats where I will be talking all about different issues and how to become positive in all different ways! And this post is the first of hopefully many of these types of posts! So anyway today I am going to be discussing being confident and having self esteem. Enjoy!

Now I’m just going to start by saying, I am not an expert in any of this kind of thing. I am a teenage girl which gives me a bit of a starting point to go on with.

Being a teenage girl is definitely not very easy, there’s so much pressure and weight on girls especially to look a certain way and dress a certain way etc. I feel that as girls we all believe that what we see on social media is reality or what we see in a magazine is so so true but you know what is strictly true which that rubbish isn’t, is the fact that you are beautiful, we are all beautiful just the way we are. We don’t have to make changes that we are told to make, if your happy channel it and keep it.

Now I know will all the bombardment of different things around you that being confident isn’t easy. Trust me I’ve had the experience of bullies and low confidence. I don’t think I can give you a specific way of getting through it because different ways work for different people. But something I can say is that it will get better and your confidence will grow. Surround yourself with positive people and your confidence will grow, give yourself compliments every day and reward yourself for things that you do well. Everything will get better.

A big thing to stop doing is comparing yourself to other people. Wanting to be like them, I know we all wish for things we don’t have like brown eyes or blonde hair or just to look like someone else and not like yourself. Being envious of something or someone is not healthy at all. Be grateful for who you are and what you have because trust me there is always someone who will look at you and think I wish I could be them. I know it isn’t easy and giving compliments to yourself will help but trust me your perfect and it’s about being beautiful from your heart not your face.

Having self esteem is also something that is really difficult. Especially if you have been bullied or criticised, having the confidence to say something or argue back is tricky. To build back your self esteem definitely talk more, ask more questions, compliment people, do debating etc. And soon enough talking in front of hundreds of people won’t scare you and golfs up to a shop assistant and asking for a size won’t scare you. I am still working on this side of things and I do want to say that it takes time but it will improve.

I hope after reading this you all feel happy and more confident. If you ever need to talk to me or ask for my advice you can email me: or dm me on Instagram:

Thanks for reading,

Before I end this blog post I just want to say that stating a blog really changed my life as it gave me so much more confidence and I’m so grateful for every one of you! 😘💖

Really inspiring post and I agree that we should stop comparing ourselves to other people because it does really just make us feel worse about ourselves 🙂 xx
