Happy July! The summer holidays is coming closer and closer and I am absolutely buzzing for it! Today I have a summer drugstore makeup look for you! But as you can see from the title I also have an announcement for you! So nearly a month ago now The Teen Magazine approached me to join their team and write articles for them. I have 2 up already if you are interested and if you have any other requests for articles let me know down below!

Also another thing I would like to say is that on Tuesday 4th July in the evening at around 10:30pm we hit 600 followers on this little but turning out to not be so little blog of mine. You all continue to astound me every single day with all your support and kindness. I still can’t believe it, I love you all so much and you never fail to disappoint me. Thank you again and again and again.
I also have a new page up about affiliate links as I do have my first one. You can find out more information about that on my new page and if you would like to support me which is totally your choice I would appreciate if you did of course but I would never bribe or force my followers into doing anything for me, you can do whatever you like and I hope you all don’t think I’m a bad person for adding this to my blog. Thank you if you support me anyway on to the main part. Sorry for the ramble!
So I really hope you enjoy this blog post, it’s all about the wonders of drugstore makeup as recently in posts I’ve been using mostly high end products I thought I would do a post for all you lovely people out there who are on a budget or prefer to use drugstore makeup! Enjoy! ❤
So I first start off with my eyebrows. Now I have never done my eyebrows for a blog post before but here they are. For drugstore I like to use the Sleek Brow Definer Pencil in the shade light. This not only defines my brows but makes them look fuller and I just overall really love the look of them! 😜
Moving on to actual eyeshadow I just primed them with concealer and then used my KIKO single eyeshadow in the shade 137, it is a really pretty shimmery burnt red shade and it’s the perfect shade for the crease which is where I put it. For my all over the lid shade I used the coppery shimmery colour from the Makeup Revolution Redemption Iconic 3 palette and these two went really well together and gave a lovely warm eyeshadow look! 😋
Moving onto face makeup I started with primer obviously and I used the Soap and Glory super moisture marvel, this is a lovely primer because it is very moisturising for my dry skin and it is also tacky which helps makeup stick to it. 😽
Foundation time! I used the Max Factor Skin Luminizer miracle foundation in the lightest shade. This foundation gives me a lovely dewy finish and it gives just the right amount of coverage. It is also pale enough hooray! I blend this in with my real techniques miracle complexion sponge. 😌
For concealer I used the Seventeen stay time in extra fair. I put this under my eyes and then over my blemishes and redness. This concealer gives a really lovely finish but is slightly greasy which can be annoying but it’s easy to set down with powder. It’s great! 👑
To set everything down I use the only good drugstore powder I own I’m sorry I didn’t think this through for powder but it’s the NYX HD finishing powder and I have the translucent white one! There’s not a lot to say about this powder it does the job but you do have to make sure you really blend it in as it can leave white traces. 🍕
My favourite part now highlight. I don’t think I have ever included this in a blog post but I used the Sleek Cleopatra’s Kiss highlight palette and I used the shimmery powder pink shade. As the other ones are a bit dark for me. This is really good and I had it as a present which was nice. I just highlighted all the high points of my face and it looks lovely! ✨
Moving back onto eyes I used the Soap and Glory Thick and Fast mascara which I included in my other makeup blog post back in march. This gives my lashes volume, length and separation. It also has a really good formula and I think it’s great. Your lashes do make a difference to your eyes and as I have really short ones it’s nice to make them stand out with mascara!
Last but not least it’s lip time. Wow alliteration without me even realising ha ha! I used the NYX lingerie liquid lipstick in the shade push up which is a lovely nude. These are a really lovely formulas they are not drying and give a really nice finish. But just to add a glossy feel as it is a summer makeup look I added the Soap and Glory sexy mother pucker lip gloss in the shade Rose and Shine. I love this lip combo as I have been wearing it for the last few weeks! 💖
This is the finished makeup look on my face:
I hope you have all enjoyed this blog post and I will see you next time with another one! ☺️
