Good evening my lovelies, ♡
I hope you are all doing really well on this Thursday evening. It is actually half term for me and I have just been chilling and getting school work done all week. What did you do in half term, anything exciting?
Anyway, if you are back at school and sad that your half term is over, or if you are bored during your half term, I hope this post brightens your day! Today’s post is going to be all about the makeup I ordered from Colourpop, my experience and I am sharing with you some makeup looks I created with the products!
I have wanted to order from Colourpop for the longest time, I saw so many blogger and youtubers talk about it and all their products looked amazing finally I decided that I was gonna take the plunge and order some products with my birthday money, so when the start of January came around, I did lots of research into postage and customs, handling charges etc and I looked at what people’s favourite products were and then I finally placed my order on 2nd January. I knew that I wanted to get my order to just over $50 so that I got free international shipping. My order took just over 2 weeks to get t me, but then before it could actually be delivered, I got a customs notice through the door, I had been charged £8 handling fees and £8.37 customs, so altogether I paid £16.37.
Then my parcel couldn’t fit through the door so I couldn’t actually get it until the Monday after, but when I finally got it I was so excited to see all my products.
So going on to what I actually ordered: my blogging friend Amelia recommended me three lip shades of the ultra satin liquid lipsticks which I picked up as I trust her opinion 100%. The shades were: Echo park which is described as a warm peachy nude, I would say it has a definite pinkiness to it aswell and it is so super pretty. The next one is: Alyssa, which is described as a muted pink, this is such a gorgeous shade and of course Kathleen Lights designed it or picked it out I am not sure but the shade is fab! The last shade is: Aquarius, which is described as a soft pinky nude which is another one that Kathleen Lights had something to do with, this is so super lush aswell. All these shades are! And the actual formula of the ultra satin is described as being: high pigmentation and long wearing but comfortable on the lips and I would totally agree. They are so creamy and pigmented and last most of the day and they are not drying at all and really comfortable.
Moving onto eyeshadow, I chose 2 sets. the first one is Laura Lee’s collab set of 4 shadows called Super shock shadow foursome. The supershock shadows are ones I have wanted to try for ages, and I was not disappointed. They are so smooth and creamy and also some of the most pigmented eyeshadows now in my collection. This foresome is described as: a set of warm neutrals, which are right up my alley. The shades that come in this set are: ritz which is a sheer nude with silver glitter, it kind of has goldy colour aswell, it is super pretty, glitz which is a matte warm rose, this is also super creamy and perfect for in the crease, shiny which is: a matte soft rust, it is a lovely reddy tone and it creates a gorgeous look with gold shadows and the last one is: hiney which is described as: an icy pink with multi dimensional glitter, this shade is so unique and beautiful. All the shades in this collection are amazing and they all create lovely looks, my only critique is that, the shadws just came in the box, I wsh it had been packaged like a proper palette with slots but that doesn’t matter they are fab anyway!
The other eyeshadow set I chose was: Polite AF, this is a set that comes with six super shock shadows that are gorgeous! The packaging and shadows are the prettiest and I love this set. It comes with: deep dive which is: a bronze with purple and gold shimmer running through it, drift which is a satin true cranberry, this is so creamy because it is not fully matte and it still can be used as a lovely crease shade, birthday girl which is described as: a light gold with silver and pink glitter, this is a super pretty colour for the lid or even in the inner corner as a highlight shade, birthday cake which is described as a: soft beige pink with a ton of silver, pink and gold glitter in it, this shade is so unique and perfect for spring makeup, stereo which is: dark purple with gold and pink glitter in it, this shade especially appealed to me because I don’t have a shade like this in my collection until now and the last shade is: sequin which is a shimmery copper bronze colour which is just another lovely shade like all the others!
Here are some makeup looks I have created with the products:
So my overall thoughts on Colourpop is that they create gorgeous products for such reasonable prices, they are all such good quality and I love them all. I would totally order again and is Colourpop worth the hype? Yes it is, they should totally bring it to the UK so there are no customs, but as long as you know you will get them, you already expect it.
I hope you all enjoyed this blog post! Have you ever tried anything from Colourpop? Let me know down below! Have a lovely evening, spread kindness like confetti!
