Hey everyone, ♡
I am bringing you an extra post from me today and it is all about my favourite iconic female characters in TV and film. I have talked briefly about films and TV before on my blog but as a very proud girl/ woman I thought it was only right to talk about the amazing women in TV and films today! I hope you enjoy and leave a comment below telling me who your favourite characters are!
*Panasonic TVs have been around for years and my family has always owned them and where would any of us be without TV? Of course as we are in 2018, technology gets more and more advanced every second and TV has to follow. So Panasonic are introducing HDR to their TV which makes your TV viewing much more bright and realistic. It also increases the colour and makes it super vibrant and subtle, so you can tell the different tones of what you are watching, which I just think is amazing so I had tp share with you. If you want to find ut more, check out the info from Panasonic themselves: high dynamic range television if you are into technology I think you will find it super intersting!
*This post is sponsored by Panasonic, which I am so super grateful for. Of course I do understand if you don’t support sponsored posts and that’s okay but I always said I would be totally honest with you and I am.
- Hermione Granger
Now I was never the biggest Harry Potter fan, but as soon as I saw Hermione I knew she would be amazing and so iconic as a powerful and strong girl throughout the series of films, noone else but Emma Watson was right for that part. The line she says in the first film, always stuck out to me ‘I’m Hermione Granger’ and the confidence that went with it, I just loved it! And throughout the series she just gets stronger and stronger and is just such a role model to so many other young women and girls.
2. Katniss Everdeen
Again if you want a super strong and incredibly inspiring woman character, Katniss Everdeen is your one. Hunger Games are amazing films and books and watching Katniss come to life played be the stunning Jennifer Lawrence. She is just so strong and doesn’t back down to anyone or anything, the way she volunteer sfor her sister also shows how loving she is and Jennifer really potrays the chracter really well and exactly how I pictured her when reading the books, she is perfect.
3. Blair Waldorf
First of all if you have never watched Gossip Girl and you have access to it, wbat are you doing with your life, finish reading this and go watch it, I promise you, you won’t regret it. Blair Waldorf played by Leighton Meeser is just so iconic, she is such a strong figure but is also really relatable with all the problems she has to deal with throughout the show. She is so powerful and does and gets what she wants but also she really struggles with relationships and emotions, she shows and represents the fact that life isn’t perfect even though it looks like that on the outside.
Wow, what a classic film, I remember first watching this and thinking that is amazing, Matilda is a total outcast from her family and she is not afraid to stand up for what she believes in and to be different. She also shows us that it is okay not to fit in and to be into different things. Also that it is not always obvious but everyone is special in their own ways and we should all be proud of who we are. Also tha taking care and being nice to people is so important, as the saying goes ‘kill em with kindness’.and that sometimes people will want to make you feel small and unworthy but you are worthy and a much bigger person than them.
5. Bridget Jones
I only recently watched the series of the Bridget Jones films and I don’t know what I was expecting but I absouletly fell in love with them. Again she is such a strong figure for women everywhere and also she is again totally relatable and shows that we all have good and bad patches in our lives but there is always a light at the end of the tunnel and things get better and improve. Also the fact that love lives are not the most idyllic things that everyone thinks they are, there are always complications and problems that come up and not always a happy ending but it is okay and you can have a happy ending, stay positive! Renée Zellweger plays her so perfectly and the films are done just so so well.
Thanks so much for reading this post, it means the world, without all of your support I wouldn’t be here today writing this post, have a lovely week!
Lots of love,
