My New Interests: True Crime, Conspiracy theories and Missing persons! ♡

Hey everyone! ♡
Happy May! How crazy……I am probably in the midst of a series of mental breakdowns as the GCSEs I am sitting this year are coming up so fast but we can all do this and will get through this!

*I mean no disrespect or offense by writing this post, I am just informing you of my interest and I have no intention of causing distress or discomfort. I know these topics are sensitve so if you start reading and don’t like it, come back next week for my usual content!

Now on this blog I truly do talk about the things ove: ranging from makeup, photography and beauty to self love and positivity. With some fashion and other random bits thrown in. Trust me, I LOVE it. I would never change anything for the world, but I thought I would just share with you something that I hardly talk about on here and a new interest I have. It has had a huge impact on my life and made me more sceptical and WOKE as they say. Not entirely sure what this blog post will turn out to be but enjoy I guess!

True Crime- I know pretty weird right, actually I have been interested in cases for as long as I can remember, I used to always listen with full attention when they popped up on the news, but in the past year I really have got in to them. I find it so interesting to try and get the psychological side of why things like this happen and how events link up and I find it so sad that some cases hardly get any coverage from the media. This is so important and it is such a big thing nowadays, so I like to make myself aware and watching videos about them from youtubers I have grown to trust. Great True Crime youtubers if you are interested are: Danelle Hallan, Kendall Rae & Eleanor Neale. They give really good unbiased infromation in their videos and they all try their absolute best to get all the information they can and educare us.

Missing people- This is so so so sad, I can’t imagine what it must be like to have a missing child, friend or relative. My heart goes out to everyone who has ever suffered this and to all the missing people. I just don’t understand how people can just vanish into thin air or if people have never been found, where is the evidence, where is the little bit of extra information people need to get closure. Again, these cases fascinate me and again it is so important to raise awareness and especially Danelle Hallan has created the Hallan Fam #Bringthemhome to create awareness for missing people, she covers the cases with so much respect and detail and the amount of effort is just incredible, she is so inspirational and she uploads them every week. Kendall Rae also does a Where Is series, where she asks her subscribers to design merch so she can sell it and all the money goes to Thorn which is an incredible organisation (google it if you want to know what Thorn does or watch Kendall’s videos). Also Eleanor, does great unsolved and missing cases.

Conspiracy Theories- First of all, I don’t believe all conspiracies and I don’t know what is true and what isn’t about these. But some really made sense, so I feel like I have become more woke on all of this. Not everything is how it seems and it is important to question everything. But it is just so interesting to learn about all different people’s opinions and what they believed happened in different situations. You can’t believe everything you read but you can read into lots of different versions and learn lots of new things and skills. Kendall Rae is definitely my favourite youtuber for conspiracies.

I just also wanted to say, I know some of you probably wouldn’t be expecting this from me, but I do believe that these topics should be talked about. I want to be 100% honest will all of you and this is something that is still very new to me but I am still learning. I am in no way saying this is the start of a series because I am in no way able to do these cases justice and I do not have any time to do the full research, these are not for me to do. I just love watching the videos and making myself aware of things that happen within society. I know that I am not the only one because recently I have seen lots of posts about true crime etc and that people are really interested in them. My mum is too, so I do believe I got it from her because we both like to watch similar things that are on TV.

I also do love the fictional murders and mysteries: Death in Paradise is definitely one of my top 3 shows of all time it is so great and I love trying to solve them even though I never get it! I also love Poirot, Vera, Midsummer Murders, Rosemary & Thyme, Murder she Wrote and Miss Marple. Also a big lover of Agatha Christie!

I hope if you can relate to me in some way you have enjoyed this post, this does not mean I have changed in anyway, I am just getting older and finding new interests and trying to find things that will make me think and just that I want to learn about them. This does not mean that my interests in makeup or fashion have decreased because they haven’t. I still will continue to talk about them, this post is just a one off. As I said I want to be honest with you and this is it.

Anyway, I hope you all enjoyed, it means so much if you have read this. I hope I haven’t caused any distress or offence because I promise that wasn’t planned, you all mean so much to me and I would never want to do this. Again, I am just sharing my interests and I am not doing a series I just wanted to bring this slightly into my blog, I hope you don’t mind.

Brilliant post! I love watching Murder Mysteries on the telly, although I do find it unsettling sometimes when I think about the cases when things like that have actually happened! We watch the same TV shows!

    Fab post 🙂
I always found it really interesting, which made me chose criminology as a unit when I did my diploma after my A levels (I basically did my A levels again, so now have 6, would NOT recommend aha) after you finish your GCSE’s if its an option for you I would highly recommend criminology if this kind of stuff interests you. You do read about some horrible stuff, but trying to get in the mind of the criminal and work out why they do what they do, and what makes them tick was fascinating.

I love reading conspiracy theories because some sound so believable but I don’t believe all of them. I also find missing people interesting, especially when they haven’t found them for years. It’s really sad though. Loved this post by the way x
