Hey everyone, ♡
*I am getting very kindly gifted a voucher for what I mention down below: but I absouletly love the products on this website and I hope you all know that I would never recommend anything I didn’t like.
First of all, I wanted to tell you all about this super cool competition from The Old English Co, they sell lots of lovely items from notebooks to prints and enamel pins. The competition is in celebration of their new range of enamel pins, they are letting you win 3 enamel pins. If you fancy entering or finding out more information (which I totally recommend by the way!) here is the link: https://oldenglishprints.com/pages/enamel-pin-competition-win-a-set-of-enamel-pins

Hope you are all doing really well and having a great week. Today’s post is inspired by a post Mollie from: https://molliewesthead.com/ did and it made me really think about how much money I had actually spent on makeup over the past 4 years that I have been wearing it and I really wanted to do this and just see how much my face is actually worth. So this is the cost of my full face of makeup!
All these products are my favourite, holy grail ones that I use nearly on an everyday basis, it is a mix of highend and drugstore and I love them.
You all know what I use to fill in my eyebrows, I have mentioned it in every makeup post I have done in the past year or so, it is the Benefit Brow Zings in the shade 1, I use the powder to fill in my sparse areas of my brows and the wax to set them in place. I love this kit so much but at the steep price of £27.00, it is not something I could just re-purchase easily so I would have to find a dupe.
Then for my eyes, I decided on one of my favourite palettes, the Urban Decay Naked Heat, it is one of the prettiest palettes I own and I am in love with it. I used the shades: chaser all over my lid, then a mix of low blow and sauced in my crease and then dirty talk and scorched on my lid. This created a really gorgeous warm shimmery eye look which I love to wear a lot. This palette again isn’t cheap at £39.50, but the shadows are so creamy and really great quality so it is worth the money and because it is eyeshadow it will last a long time!
Moving onto face: I used again my absolute favourite primer: the Too Faced Hangover RX primer, first of all it smells like coconuts which is amazing and also it is super hydrating and lovely on the skin. It is great also because it keeps my makeup on all day and it is just great! Again a steep price of £27 but it is totally worth it and I would re pruchase it when I have the money.
For foundation, finally a drugstore product I used the Max Factor Skin Luminizer foundation in the lightest shade. It is a great foundation with really lovely coverage and it lasts a really long time on the skin and gives me the glowy look that I like with foundation. It is at a way more manageable price of £11 and it is great, but sadly I have just found out that it has been discontinued but Max Factor do lots more other ones that I am sure are great.
Concealer has no competition, it has to be the Urban Decay Naked concealer, mine is in the lightest shade, it has such great coverage and it not too drying for my under eyes. It also covers my blemishes and is so super creamy so it blends really well with my Real Techniques sponge. It is again not a cheap concealer at £17 but it is so great and really worth the money.
For powder I used the Rimmel Clear Complexion translucent one. Everyone goes on about the Rimmel powders and how cheap they are as they are actually good. This one is great for dry skin and so so great at £4 if you are on a budget. I don’t think you need to spend a lot on a powder to get a good one!
The highlighter I have chosen I haven’t actually worn in ages but again definitely one of my faves. It is The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer, this is such a pretty golden highlight and it gives my skin such a GLOWWWWW! It is again not very cheap at £16, but again highlighter isn’t something you have to re purchase that often so it is totally worth it!
Moving back to face, for mascara I used a very dried up Benefit Roller lash which is such a great mascara but as I said mine is drying out but it will be something that I repurchase soon. Again it is quite a pricey mascara but it is amazing when it is not dried out, at the price of £19.50 it is a lot but Benefit do fab mascaraas and I can’t wait to get a new one.
Next is lips, I first used my Maybeline baby lips in bubblegum pop which I have used for years, they are not very cheap lipbalms at £3.99 but they are great . I used one of again my faves, the Colourpop liquid lipstick in the shade Echo Park, colourpop lippies are the best, they are so pigmented and such great quality. They are also super cheap as all of the Colourpop products are, at £4.64 it is just amazing and if you want to knwo more about my opinions on Colourpop check out my more in depth post: https://everythingeden.co.uk/2018/02/22/colourpop-haul-experience/
Lastly I set my whole face of makeup with my absolute favourite fixing spray, again not the cheapest but the Mac Fix plus spray is so great. It is so hydrating and keeps my makeup on all day and it also refreshes and helps my makeup look as good half way through the day as at the start. It is £19 but so worth it, they also do it in all different scents now whcih I would love to try!
So this is the finished look:
So I was SO super shocked to see that this full face of makeuo for me cost a staggering £188.63! I love all these makeup products but it is kinda scary knowing that makeup costs so much and I must have over £200 in my collection and nearly that on my face. And in no way am I made of money so that is SO SO much!
I hope you all enjoyed the post!
Have a great rest of your evening! Thank you all for your continual support! xo
Lots of love,
