Hey everyone! ♡
I hope you are all doing really well, I am so excited for today’s blog post because it is the start of a kind of new series on my blog. Basically, I want to share more of my life with the people who read my blog because I am so grateful for you. I want you to be able to get to know me better and to feel like we are friends, because you are all great. So my new series is called Chats with Eden, this one is going to be a bit of a catch up and just a general chat about current things and maybe this could be controversial but I am in no means trying to offend anyone, these are just my opinions.
So, I will start with the best thing (NOT) school, yay! If you didn’t know I am in Year 10, I actually finish Year 10 next week and that is so crazy, this year has gone so so fast and I am actually so buzzing to leave this year behind, even though the slight thought of Year 11 gives me stressful and anxious thoughts. But, if you didn’t know or you don’t follow me on Insta ( @everythingedenx if you want to) in Wales, students sit some of their GCSE exams that go towards the overall grade 20%, 50% etc. SO, I have sat some of my exams in: Biology, Chemistry, History and RE. I am pleased with how they went but I am just waiting now to get my results back, but in general, I just feel like I have totally outgrown school, it is just not for me anymore and I am really looking forward to this time next year when I will have finished. But if you want more information about Year 10, I will be writing a more in depth post about it in a few weeks, so look out for that.
Moving onto my personal life, I am not going to lie I have been an absolute mess recently, a mix of stress and exhaustion has just seen me crash everyday when I have been getting home from school. For a while now, I haven’t had many friends and we never do anything outside of school anyway, I am actually really looking forward to hopefully leaving school next year so I can get some better friends and have a better social life. But, there is the problem that both my parents really enjoy their own company and that is the same for me and my brother so I do like just chilling by myself. I have been spending a bit more time with my family as, as sad as it is people don’t live forever so I have been trying to spend as much time with them as possible so that I don’t regret not spending enough time with them, it has been really lovely to do things and it ghas been such a great de-stress.So that is how my life is going atm.
I have just come back from a weekend in West Wales, we did lots of beaches, swimming and exploring but also towns and chilling. I wish I didn’t have to come home but I still do have one week of school left so couldn’t stay longer. It was a lovely weekend though and it is nice to sometimes do short notice getaways and get away from it all.
Of course, the most current and most talked about thing especially on Twitter, where it always blows up: Love Island! I have watched Season 1 recently, half of Season 2, all of Season 3 and now this year’s episodes. It is such a great show, I know sometimes it can be a bit trashy but it is a fun show and I love watching it, it signifies the start to summer and it is lovely to see lots of great, genuine men and women fall in love and form such incredible friendships and bonds. Of course, I think lots of people are with me when I say: Jack & Dani for the win! They are just the most adorable couple and the loveliest people who compliment each other really well, they are true inspirations for couples and it is just so lovely to see them start to build a life together. I know my next opinion won’t be so popular but I love Laura, she is so real and true to herself, I just really do have a soft spot for her and she is just great, gorgeous with and without makeup and she has been through so much and she is still smiling. I know some people think she is immature, but sometimes we are all like this, we all make mistakes and learn from them, she is so relatable and sorry but Laura! My fave boy all the way is Alex, first of all he is my fellow Welshie, he is a freaking Doctor so he is so intelligent and I am so glad that he shows an image of smart people that people don’t think exists. He is so respectful, loving and kind, he would never hurt anyone and he deserves love more than any other and I just again have a soft spot for him, awww Alex! I do also love a bit of Gee, aw Georgia, you are a gem, such a fab person and you crack me up, I love that she loves to have fun and be totally herself. Just love her! So overall, I am loving Love Island this year, if you watch it I would love to know your thoughts so leave them below!
My current favourite shows are Bride & Prejudice which is on Channel 4, it is all about two people who have fallen in love and for some reason their families don’t agree or have some cliffs they have to climb before they can officially tie the knot, but it is so interesting to hear everyone’s point of view and it is a fab show! I also love Dawson’s Creek, which is an oldie but a goodie, my mum watched this show and it was filmed in the 90s and early 00s, but it is so great and gets me in a really summery mood. I haven’t finished the whole series yet but I am just in love with Joshua Jackson, who plays Paisie, he is so lovely and I don’t know he is just so fun and good looking. Also, if you have Netflix and are looking for an amazing film to watch and you are into comedy, romance and drama, The Kissing Booth is the one for you. The incredible thing is that the original book which I am still yet to read was written by a 15 year old and it is amazing! Also, the actual film makes you laugh and cry, also I just love the fact that the main actors Joey King ( Elle) and Jacob Elordi (Noah) are actually dating in real life, the cutest thing ever!! I just love that, also it was filmed in South Africa and it is done so well, I actually did think it was America, we really need a sequel! Also I have been loving Friday Night Dinner, this show is so hilarious and just a great one for if you are having a bad day or feeling a bit down, it is on Netflix as well as All 4 and it is all about a Jewish family who meet every week for dinner and lots of funny things happen, I just love it.
The last thing I want to talk about is blogging, obviously my blogging journey has now hit 3 year, and the best 3 years of my life no question about it. Blogging started as just a hobby and it has turned into a part of me that will always be there. I am hoping for the next year, I will be able to come up with some great unique blog posts for you and I just love to write and be behind the screen. I just can’t beat blogging and thank you all for making my dream continue. Cheers to the next 3 years!
I really hope you have enjoyed this post and if you have any specific topics you would like me to talk about let me know as I want to do posts that you want to see!
Lots of love,
