Hello everyone! ♡
Happy September or not so, depends how you see it. Back to school is now full in swing and I can’t deny that it is my favourite part of school. The new timetable, teacher’s, bag and stationery gives me the best feeling, I know I am a weirdo but I just really enjoy it. I hope all your back to school’s have gone well and smoothly. Today’s post is going to be one inspired by one of my really good blogging friends Sophie from: https://lovesoph.co.uk/ she did a post all about her goals for Year 11 last year and I really fancied doing that as it is the most important year so far and hopefully it can be a successful year for me, so I want this post to look back on. I hope you enjoy and make sure to check out Sophie’s blog! https://lovesoph.co.uk/2017/09/06/my-year-11-bts-goals/
- Do well in my GCSE exams
This is for me the most important part, I have worked so hard throughout my school career to get to this year. I just want to achieve all my predicted grades or better, but most importantly to know that I am happy with the grades because I feel like I have worked as hard as I could’ve by the end of the year. School isn’t all about grades and letters on a piece of paper don’t define you, but I can’t deny that these do mean a lot to me.
2. HAVE FUN
At the end of the day, my plan is to leave my school for A Levels so this is the last year that I spend with some people who I have been with for the last five years and some of them have really made an impact on my time in secondary school. So I want to enjoy the last year I have with them and make sure I work and play hard because that is what we have all worked for.
3. Be productive
I have always been a good student but a slacker at home, by Year 10 I was leaving everything to the night before and not caring about homework because of the amount of revision I had alongside. Most homework pieces were done at 8:50am by a half asleep Eden sitting at her from desk 10 minutes before the lesson started. Not something I want to carry on, obviously homework does come 2nd to revision but I want to be able to do it all at home so that my whole school and home balance can be better and more productive.
4. Go to bed earlier
This probably won’t happen like EVER but it is a goal at the end of the day, I am such a night owl and this doesn’t help my sleeping pattern or how I work in school so hopefully if I can fall asleep earlier, I won’t feel so tired and want to go to bed as soon as I get home from school. School is tiring enough without me being up all night.
5. Maintain a healthy diet
I am pretty sure it is proven that a healthy diet keeps the brain healthier, so in order to have the best year on all accounts eating better with definitely have a benefit to my whole wellbeing. I do need to be healthier because it will help me and my studying will improve because of this.
6. Take a bottle of water everyday
I never drink enough water, so towards the end of Year 10 I started taking a water bottle to school and it has made the world of difference, so my plan for Year 11 as random as it is, is to take one everyday as it is so important to keep hydrated especially when your brain has to work so hard.
7. Work my hardest in all subjects/ lessons
There are some core lessons (*COUGH COUGH MATHS) that I don’t like which means that I don’t work my hardest, when I should be. As, this year all lessons are so important and I need to work to the best of my ability in all of them, so that’s the plan.
8. Read more
For the past few years, I have read less and less and it isn’t good. I need to start making more time for reading because it is so important as it helps with so many lessons. It would help my grades improve and I actually do miss it. It actually can be very relaxing as well for when I want a break from revision.
That’s it for today’s post, there are all my goals, I really hope I can achieve them all and you all have a fantastic year as well. It is not all about school and grades, enjoy yourself as well! Thanks so much for reading, it means so much. Leave a comment if you ahve any responses and a like if you enjoyed!
Lots of love,
