What I’m grateful for: World Gratitude Day 2018! ♡

Hello everyone, ♡

Hope you are all doing really well. If you didn’t know tomorrow (Friday 21st September) is World Gratitude Day. I thought as I have never done a post before to celebrate, I would this year. So I am going to be writing a post about what I am grateful for. As for me personally, I do taker a lot of things for granted and it is a good and positive thing to do, to step back and be grateful for what you have because some people aren’t as fortunate or as lucky as me. I really hope you enjoy the post and let me know what you are grateful for down below in the comments!

HAVING FOOD & WATER WHENEVER I NEED IT

Just having the necessary things I need to function and live is definitely a big thing to be grateful for. I just go to my kitchen, fill up my glass with water from the tap and then go to the fridge and get out a snack without even thinking about the fact that lots of people can’t just do that. That is terrible because it is 2018 and we should all have what we need to be able to live. Just having the simple things in life makes such a difference and I am so grateful to have them and I do know that I am very lucky to have them.

HAVING CLOTHES & A ROOF OVER MY HEAD

These are also things that I admit I do take for granted, my mum (as a single parent) has worked damn hard all of her life to be able to keep a roof over our head and we have always had money to buy clothes and have always had clothes and a full wardrobe. I never even think about what it would be like not to have these things, a warm house, a bed or lots of clothes to choose room. Lots of people don’t have these things, I am very lucky to have them.

HAVING A LOVING FAMILY

My family have always loved and supported me and always been there for me. I can always talk to them about everything and they all mean so much to me.Having a loving family can make such a difference to someone’s life, there are lots of people who don’t have this and that isn’t fair and I can’t imagine what that must be like. My heart goes out to all of you, you are amazing and strong people. My Mum is my absolute rock, I don’t know what I would do without her, so I am so grateful for my family and sometimes I probably take them for granted but they mean so much to me.

HAVING A FEW GREAT FRIENDS

It has always been better for me to have a small circle of friends and they are all great and I am very lucky to have them. Friends play such a big part in your life, especially as you get older, they are important to keep around. Some don’t have friends, but it won’t be like that forever, there are friends out there for everyone, you will find each other and that is a great thing.

HAVING MY BLOG

I am so grateful to have this little platform where I can share my thoughts and opinions and spend time taking photos and writing about my interests in beauty, fashion, lifestyle etc. Blogging has also meant I have made some amazing internet friends and I am just so happy that I started my blog. If you are thinking about it, definitely do, it changes your life. Some people don’t even have access to the internet or know what blogging is, I can’t imagine. I hope everyone gets the joy of the internet one day.

HAVING AN EDUCATION

I am so grateful that I have been able to learn how to read, write, do maths and lots of other key skills because of where I live. I am really lucky to be able to learn something new everyday and that I can. In some countries, girls aren’t allowed to go to school, in others no one goes because it is so far or just not accessible or it is too much money. That isn’t fair, everyone deserves the right to an education, there should be no acception.

BEING ABLE TO TRAVEL

I am so grateful that I have been able to see lots of different countries and experience their different ways of life and cultures. I also am so grateful to be able to say I can travel to more places throughout my life which I am so excited about. Not everyone gets the chance to travel or see different places, that isn’t fair, again this is probably another thing I take for granted but I have to remember how lucky I am.

Okay, that is it for today’s post, that was quite deep and heavy….. WOW. Anyway, I really hope you enjoyed reading and if you got to the end thanks so much.I will see you next Thursday with another post!

Lots of love,

Eden xxx

I loved reading this – you are so, so genuine! Aside from all of the frilly things we are all grateful for, you’ve highlighted the little things. These little things we are very lucky to have and at times it is hard and difficult to believe that other people around the world, or even in our own country, cannot have these x
