Hey everyone! ♡
Happy Blogmas day 4! Christmas is in 5 days, how crazy is that omg! Today’s post is going to be a really exciting one and it’s also a collab with my best friend Ella, her blog and post will be linked here:
Ella’s blog: https://asprinkleofellarose.wordpress.com
We decided to do a Christmas box swap as we have been friends for nearly 3 years now and we have always wanted to exchange gifts to show how grateful we are for each other. We both love Christmas so this was perfect!if you want to find out what I got Ella, make sure you go and check out her post after reading mine and comment and let her know that I sent you!
First of all, we decided to set a budget because we didn’t want to feel guilty about spending too little or too much. So we decided £40 was quite reasonable for both of us and it was a good amount that you could do something with, without it being over the top. We didn’t include the postage costs because that wasn’t going to be much to add on top.
As it was a box swap, we both wrapped shoe boxes and put the presents inside. So cute. Ella wrapped mine in a cute brown paper with red shiny reindeer’s on so adorable and I could see how much effort she put into it. Then she wrapped the gifts in some of the same paper and
She also numbered them and gave me clues for all of them. I did that for her too, I did a mix of clues and reasons why I chose the gifts. Ella also wrote me such an amazing note that was the loveliest ever and it means so much to me.
The first thing she got me were some super cute Christmassy sweets, trees and stockings! I’ve never seen these before and I’m so excited to eat them. Let’s not lie they are probably gone by the time you are reading this. Ella knows how much I am a sweetaholic so these are perfect!
The next thing she got me was a super cute Nivea Lip butter in Rasberry Rosè. This smells amazing and I have always loved Nivea lip balms and these are such an essential in the winter. And it’s so small and cute so can just be thrown in the handbag.
Ella and I both love a pamper so it is both essential for us to have face masks. I think I had mentioned to Ella before that I have always wanted to try the Garnier sheet masks and she was amazing and got me one. It’s the moisture bomb tissue mask it is meant to be super hydrating and soothing. I am so excited to give this a try, also the packaging is so pretty.
Also we both love stationery! It is such an essential and we just buy it for the sake of it sometimes, so Ella knew me well when she got me this super cute maison jar filled with rose gold paper clips. These are so handy and you can never have enough especially for the amount of paper I have for my GCSEs. And then when they run out, I can re use the jar for some other things and it will look so cute on my desk!
The next thing is a Bath and Body pocketbac. Ella absolutely lives for them, she properly introduced me to them but I only had two and I have always wanted to build up my collection especially with Christmassy festive scents. The first one is Merry cookie, this smells so good like cookies, really sweet and just lovely. It is always good to keep stocked up on hand sanitizer, you can never have enough!
Another winter essential, Nivea hand cream. I was so happy when I opened this because hand cream is always an essential and it is such a lovely scent that can be used any time. It is also such a cute size that you can just throw in your handbag. Ella knows me so well.
Another pocketbac now and I am totally happy with this. Again building up my festive collection. These are so cute and they are smell amazing. This one is ‘tis the season’, that totally traditional festive scent that always reminds you of Christmas. It’s also red, perfect literally so Christmassy!
Omg, when I opened this next thing Ella and I were laughing and reminiscing. This was the original 2015 beauty guru item, Ella and I both used these in photos. It’s the Nivea pearly shine lip balm. I remember first buying this when I was 8 or 9 and then getting it again later. It is really moisturising and an essential for winter!
The other food item now, as the clue said it isn’t Christmas if you don’t have one and that is a Cadbury selection box. These are a classic, I’ve had one every year for as long as I remember. These always go down a treat and I can’t wait to eat it all, again by the time you are reading this it’s probably gone.
The next thing Ella did so so so so so well with! I have literally been telling Ella how much I have wanted this for ages and never bought it for some reason. Well, she got it for me and this is the Mario Badescu spray in aloe cucumber and green tea, I am so excited to fully give this a try as there is so much hype around it. I will definitely let you know my thoughts! Thanks Ella, you smashed it with this one!
Another pocketbac aha, I am so happy though, my collection is getting bigger. This one is winter candy apple, as the name would suggest it smells like apples and have that lovely festive freshness. Also such a cute bunny on the front and another red one, whats more festive than red!
The next thing was also such a lovely idea from Ella. She knows how stressed I get about studying and being organised so this study planner which is so cute is such a great gift. It will be an amazing help throughout my exams and it is also magnetic so I can put it on my whiteboard. I love it!
Pocketbac number 4, this one is my favourite out of them all twisted peppermint. I am such a big mint fan and this smells amazing, it’s so fresh and also so Christmassy because it reminds me of candy canes and they are some of my faves as well. Also again packaging is so cute.
Another cute stationery bit now, it just shows me how much Ella knows me and that means so much. She got me these super cute bull dog clips which are again another essential for exams and studying and keeping organised in general. They have super motivational sayings on them and they are super cute rose gold, grey etc. Go with my room and other stationery. I have so much paper so these are fab!
The next thing is super cute, it is an eco eyeshadow brush. It is a very environmentally friendly one which is so good because it is always fab to contribute to the environment. It is super cute and they are always handy brushes, you can never have too many. Also, mine are always dirty so it’s lovely to have a clean one.
The last pocketbac now, this one is vanilla bean Noel. It has such a strong vanilla scent and it’s so lovely. It’s so funny because I bought something for Ella in this scent too aha, we know eachother too well. Absolutely love all of them, I can’t wait to use them all.
The last but definitely not least gift, Ella also did super super well on and this is the Soph X Revolution Extra Spice palette. It is a full of gorgeous shades, lots of warm and some cool, it is perfect for winter and I am hoping for great quality shadows because it’s Soph does Nails. I did also go on to Ella all the time about how much I wanted to try Sophs palettes and how I’d nearly bought them then hadn’t. I am just so grateful and I’m so excited to try it out, I am going to be doing a festive look and review later in the week so look out for that!
So that is it. This has been one of my most favourite posts to write literally. It’s so lovely, make sure you go and check out Ella’s post to find out what I got her which I am so happy to say she loved it all. This has been such a great thing to do and I think we will cary it on as a tradition! Have a lovely evening.
