Hey everyone, ♡
Happy Christmas Eve, I just can’t believe it is Christmas Eve already, this means it is the last day of Blogmas week 2018, I really hope you have enjoyed this week and if you have read every post I applaud you and I am so grateful for that. Last year I did a post about Christmas Eve but let’s be honest, I don’t really do anything on Christmas Eve so I have decided on a different post. As this is going to be my last post of 2018, I thought I would do a reflection on 2018, my favourite bits and some photos as well. I really hope you have all had a good 2018 and if not, I really hope 2019 is your year!
- My family holiday to Kefalonia
I did a whole post on this holiday, I love exploring and travelling so much and this place was just incredible. Literally for the whole trip, I couldn’t stop thinking about the fact that it looked like something from Google images. This place was just full of beautiful scenery and dreams, the beaches were fab and the seas was the clearest I have ever seen. It was also the first time, I had also been on holiday with my whole one side of my close family and that was an amazing experience. I am so lucky for this holiday and I can’t thank my Auntie and Uncle enough for organising it.
2. My Year 10 GCSE results
I worked so hard from the months of April to June and i am so happy to say that that work paid off because I got most of the grades I wanted for Year 10 and I am so happy with that. I just feel like there is so much pressure and at my school especially with grades and I am just so glad that it all worked out so that I don’t need to resit any this year and it was really fab to get them out of the way. I just really hope that I can do well this year and add to those results. GCSES are so stressful so the fact that I got through the without too many tears is a wonder and definitely an achievement!
3. Deciding on my A Level options and career path
After years and years of going back and forth and umming and arring over what I wanted in life, I am so glad 2018 brought me the answers I wanted and needed. So in November I applied and got a place depending on grades. I am planning to do my A Levels at college which is another huge move and doing History, Sociology and RE. As well as Welsh Bacc which is compulsory and then ideally I’d like to go to University and do a Criminology degree or maybe a joint degree with Criminology. I am so excited for what the next few years have to bring!
4. Becoming more confident & being able to go out without makeup
This year has been a big thing for me in this respect, confidence has always been an issue I have never fully believed in myself. So in 2018, I have tried more than ever to improve it and I definitely believe I have. I have been able to do 2 speaking assessments and get good grades that I am happy with in them and do a college interview, this time last year I would’ve never believed you if you would’ve told me I could do that. I am enough, everyone is enough. Also, this has led to me going out a lot more without makeup on and I am so happy. Yes I understand my skin definitely isn’t the best but who cares if you wear makeup or not, I just wear it when I want to and because it is fun and an art to me.
5. Surviving the first 4 months of Year 11
Wow and what a rollercoaster it had really been, so much stress and tiredness already omg. I was totally unprepared for this.It isn’t actually as bad as I imagined but it is so much work and I don’t really know if I am motivated enough. But I am so glad it is the final year and I am determined to work as hard as possible to achieve the grades I want and need to go to college.
6. Being a self hosted blogger and getting my 1st sponsored post!
This has been my 1st year of being self hosted and I absolutely love it more than anything. Blogging means so much to me and it is a part of who I am. Also, to top it all off I got my 1st sponsored post which I still can’t believe, it is crazy and I am so grateful for all of you, none of it would be possible without you.
7. My Krakow Trip
Visiting Poland was an experience that I will never forget and I am so happy that I went and with school as well. Krakow was such a beautiful city with lovely people. We did so much amazing and life changing things and I would love to go back and explore more of Poland. Id you ever get the chance to go, I would totally recommend it. It is truly an amazing place.
